Heritage

It is the wines of Buzet and Duras, Armagnac, foie gras, duck, mushrooms, colourful vegetables and of course, the famous Agen prune, the emblematic fruit which transports the town's name far beyond our borders, that colour and perfume the markets of Agen.

At the heart of the south west, beneath a generously sunny climate, they give life to the "well being and good living". The Perla de mèjgor (Pearl of the Midi) as it was described by the Agenais poet Jasmin, the town acts as a rallying point for discovering the valleys, fortified towns and castles of the Lot & Garonne that can be found by following the river or the canal.
